Fall 2009

Hello all,
TJ is in the 5th grade and is learning a new level of ownership and responsibility. He is riding the bus and is responsible for getting out the door on time with all he stuff, including packing his lunch. It is hard not to remind him but I know it is the best way for him to learn. So far he as missed the bus once. I find my self doing too much reminding. Some habits are hard to break.
Speaking of habits I am at 3.5 months of not smoking. There were a few days last week that were real hard, not sure why. But I made it through with out falter. Jackie is doing well also. We now have only Mike and Doug in our office to join the ranks. Maybe next we can talk Billy into giving up an hour a day so we can hit the gym?
Work is still a challenge each week I learn something new or improve on something I have been doing. I have been using an hour or two a day to read and study for the A+ Certification. I would like to take it before the end of the year. I need to stay focused on that task, as Paul is taking classes at ITT and may take it before I do, now that would be sad.
Paul is healing well, but slowly. He is seeing a specialist for his back and eye this week. The truck accident on July 10, 2009 will forever be a turning point for our family. Each day I send a prayer of thanks and protection for my brother as I know it will be answered.
TJ has 5 months to finish 4 activity badges for Super Achiever and the Boy Scout requirements for Arrow of Light as a Webelos Scout. Next month we will be camping at Bruneau Dunes State Park with Boy Scout Troop 1. We will get to launch the rockets we built in May and learn how the boy scouts do things. It should be great fun if we don’t freeze any thing to important. J It will be fun and a good experience for him and his fair weather camping mom.
My mom Mary has sucked us all into using face book. Paul and I have become addicted to some of the games. Mafia Wars, Mobster2, Farmville and Farkle now consume way to much time. I’m going to have to pull out the time management tools and put the, to good use.
I have posted some pictures of our trip to Webelos Woods, sure with we could go again next year.
